I was smoking apple wood!


A favorite hobby of mine, making jerky! I make about 40 - 50 lbs of that stuff each winter. Each batch is an adventure in itself. And the perfect protein to keep you active prospecting for many hours. I have used beef, pork, elk, moose, buffalo and fish. Below is my latest batch from this weekend.🍺

Better scrub that pan before you put gold in it. Don’t want those fines rolling off from the oils. I’ve always wanted to make some jerky though, looks good!

My mom is from South Africa and makes Biltong, a form of jerky very good stuff.
