    desert trommel.

I made a dry trommel and it worked out so well after the first of the year I am going to make a drywasher sluice and attach it. I will let everyone how it goes. Oh and the dirt in the video is wet and frozen so with dry dirt it works a heck of a lot better.

Nice idea. My inexperienced possibly worthless suggestions: Take out half the angle iron and have a better down chute on the feed. You will constantly be pushing the gravel in to it I believe. Hope you find lots of gold!

Also for safety - you need a guard at the top of your chute. There is a huge potential for a pinch injury there! I like my fingers.

I thought I might need to remove 2 angle and go with 6 instead of 8 but when I tried it it worked great so the number of angle is not a problem. The feed hopper needs to be at a steeper angle for sure. I thought 45 degrees would be enough for dry dirt but I have had to push my all my feed in so I might try a 50 degree. Thanks for the heads up about that and the pinch point. I appreciate your input.

    Great work! Love it.
