I've been out there before I knew about it. Was out near the Air Traffic Radar. Keep in mind it will be hot out there. Maybe October would be a better time. I definitely would like to go out.

Sm, took a trip out there today to snoop around with the Goldbug. A couple of people out there. Weather was nice, 80degrees with a good, cool breeze. Now's the time to go. Lots of claims out there. Easy access with a 2wd. Got a flat tire and no gold!! The desert owes me big time.

One of my good mining buddies just bought a homestead near there and just set a trailer out there 2 weeks ago.
He and I mined out there in the late 90s and did well.
One clean up after sundown while still camped near Coolgradie, I was panning some cons and I started to see some kind of clear jelly like stuff in the water.
We first thought it was some kind of mining residue.
Then we realized...The god dam water tub was freezing.LOL
We were there in February.
Good times.
Yea I like desert mining.
Did some good digging in the 2 Quartz claim too.
In all the advancing we can do to improve this world, the sharing of knowledge and wisdom is the most important.

I am so glad I joined this Message board.
If I post anything that inspires anyone to do better mining then me, I did my part.
And If anyone inspires me to try something new, or better, I thank them now.

There are many claims out there some times it's hard to know witch claim you are really on.
Here is a photo

I don't know this guy he just showed up he called himself "Desert Scotty" He stayed until we went home.

Looks like "desert Scotty" sat on a prickly pear.
