Thanks to Mellowyellow, Pat and the rest of the Keene crew I now have a 151 to play with :)
Learning a ton about gold in the desert and finding a bit of it. Sure is easier than digging in the stream or river. Great people out in the desert as well!(Scott & Bobby) Much appreciation!

Here's what it coughed up in a few hours of shoveling

Congrats Socal! I'll trade a cool, calm river any day for the desert though, especially one up north.

Thanks! The rivers are nice. Too bad they are posting signs at the EF trying to prohibit prospecting. Ill still be up there.

I have been using a Keene DW212V and I am not happy with it. It seems to me that it was not engineered with an eye towards failures; as if very little thought was given towards what will break, or what will wear out, or what will slip---- what will fail. I have made a few modifications, which have vastly improved the machine, but I must make more modifications before I can rely on the machine working as it should.

My 151 worked great right off the shelf and even better when I got the feed and angles right after my first trip. Every machines going to take some adjustment but I don't see any need for any major modifications. All of the keene stuff I've seen has been pretty sturdy and sure does get the gold :)

I have been using a Keene 140 with a Echo blower, seems to work well enough, I ran it last yr in Limerick Canyon Nevada and found some gold, but was not real happy with all the noise, am thinking of going to a puffer model for the peace and quiet, any thoughts on Keene puffer versus say a Thompson puffer? I already have plenty of small 7 amp burglar alarm backup batteries to power a puffer with.
