Anyone had experience with a Thompson 12V Dry washer?
I don't seem to find much when searching here or the internet in General.

I'm one of the people who want a little less noise when out in nature.
From what I've read, bellows type dry washers can be very productive at there given speed.
The Thompson looks well built and priced better then the Keene.
Any feed back would be appreciated.

Thank you

I have one and it works great, will run forever on a small 12v battery and a solar panel. Classify material down to 1/4" is key to best recovery (my opinion anyways)

I also have one , have had it for a bought 8 years , I think it's a very good dry washer , and light to pack using a small 12 volt dry cell battery , has never let me down and have put a lot of material through it . Recovers good .
I classify down to 1/4" also , some times smaller if I know the gold is finer .

The first Thompson I bought was made out of wood and even though a little heavy worked real good. Sold it when Thompson came out with the aluminum one. I put a 1/8" hardware cloth over the grizzly as most of the gold I run is smaller and it kicks up the efficientcy that much more.

For those with the Thompson Drywasher, down to what mesh size would you say it's capable of recovering a respectable percentage of?

I just so happen to live in Redding where Thompson Drywashers are made. I had a chance today to go by the shop and meet Bill. Man what a super nice guy! I had my 8 year old boy with me and Bill just let him check everything out. He had a puffer set up in the shop and we ran some sand. What a great machine. The whole thing is hand built and bullet proof. I am not sure down to what mesh size its capable of recovering but I will let you know as I am picking mine up in the morning!
