A book bag in the trash

Where we live there’s houses and then there’s rental houses as well and someone was moving out of our rental and their house was being cleaned out. Everything is out for the trash.. i get to looking through it all and ended up getting some nice stuff. Brand new baby gate in the box I think I can probably get $30 for that, a orange 5 gallon igloo cooler probably $20 for that. Also some toys for my kids and this that I thought was a book bag at first!! But man did it have a lot of pockets in it! I didn’t recognize the name but it’s a military medic bag made by TAcops tssi-ops. Checking on their website they sell for $320 brand new! This one is brand new it’s never been used, not a mark on it! I’m going to start checking the trash more often

So I went back to the house they put some more stuff out and I got some small furniture pieces. Sold all those the next day for about $35 total. Baby gates sold for $30. We kept the cooler and I just sold the backpack for $150. Trip 2 found a cassette transfer deck made by Sony, Sony DVD player, Sony wall speakers. A couple other things new in the box. I wish she would let me go through the house before she threw everything out that would’ve been great

Maybe offer to help clean out or haul off some larger items for her in exchange for some good items? Helps both of you out.
