Maybe they announced release of the Equinox, and it's so good it made their website obsolete! ;):laughing9:

Seriously though, it's still down... :icon_scratch:

Something must have gone wrong in the detector lab when they were testing the worlds most powerful, but dangerous metal detector, and they temporarily slipped into the "Equinox Zone", a place where you can make the greatest finds on your bucket list, but there is nobody to share the news with. A detectorist's worst nightmare. Thank goodness they were able to make it back into this dimension. That's what happens when you are not careful with technology more dangerous than what was used for Hot Tub Time Machine. Safety First!

Good catch, Jason. Wow. Link still on the Equinox page though but it is indeed dead. Nice. Marketing must have s-canned it based on pre-sale numbers. Most folks must have reserved an 800 by an overwhelming majority for them to take it off the boards. Too funny. Maybe they figured that with the price for the 600 so low, people would just skip over it and get the more capable Go Find 60 instead and save a few bucks. Lol.

From Minelabs website.

Minelab is pleased to announce that the new EQUINOX Series of detectors is expected to be available for purchase worldwide from late January, 2018 onwards*.

Since we first announced EQUINOX at Detectival in September, there has been unprecedented market interest in this product range.

Volume production of detectors has started and will continue at a rapid rate across December and into the new year. Detectors are expected to be delivered to our sales channels in late January, subject to transportation scheduling.

Customers who have pre-ordered detectors should thus expect to start receiving them from late January.

I suspect equinox as an inside joke from the engineers who worked 12 hour days to get it done.
