I just received my Equinox 600 yesterday and it was way to hot to get out to detect. I did not like the straight cord on the headphones that came with my 600 and I just happen to have a new spare coiled cord left over from another mod I did. So I spent the day inside in the cool replacing the cord. It turn out OK I hunted today for a couple hours and it works great.

When you want to go wireless, check these out. Only 45.00. True Low Latency. Last a couple of days per charge. Nothing else to buy, just push the button to pair them with your EQ600. I find them comforatable too.

I got caught in the rain a few times and didn't want to keep taking a chance on damaging the Bluetooth headphones that came with my 800, so for days where rain is in the forecast, I keep a set of low latency water resistant Bluetooth earbuds in the bag that I picked up for around 28.00 on Amazon. They don't take up much space and have never let me down by running out of battery.

Those are APTX but not APTX LL (low latency). Still APTX is better than non-APTX BT from a latency standpoint. I have a similar pair from Anker that I use for the same reason, but the over the ear headphones are true APTX LL and I can hear the difference when attempting to pinpoint a target. APTX is tolerable to me but I prefer APTX LL. Believe me, if I could find a pair of water resistant APTX LL earbuds for sale, I would snatch them up in a second. Haven't been able to find any.

Thanks for the info - I didn't realize that. They seem to be working well so far :)
