I used aluminum cladding used to cover outside duct work. It's peel and stick, and really sticks! cut 2 little circles per lock and flattened them in a small vice (their textured) then sanded one and applied it to the round lock bolt that engages the inner shaft then added the other on top. Will get you by depending how often you adjust it. Just something till you get satisfaction from Minelab, i don't claim this a permanent fix.

Nice - you fixed your new detector because ML doesn’t know how to. My 600 doesn’t wobble - yet - maybe it never will, but when it does - it goes back - whole machine to ML for a replacement which doesn’t wobble. No “send you a shaft and hope”.

Nice DIY fix. I'm kind of glad I'm not in the detector market at this time. Maybe if something truly revolutionary gets built.
