Had a nice night hunt at the beach a couple of days ago. I continues to amaze me the tiny targets I can find with this Equinox 800. Check out the two targets on the Mercury dime that I recovered that night. The little silver ring on the left rang up at 10 with a good solid signal. I'm not sure what it's made of....Aluminum? Silver? Looks like it may be a connecting link for a charm, bracelet, or earring dangler. The 14K earring back on the right was just a 1-2 depending on which mode I used. It was mostly a 2 in Gold 1 and 2 with a solid tone, a 1 in Park 2 with a fairly solid tone, and a weak, broken signal in Park 2. No signal in Park 1, Field 1, or either of the beach modes. This matches what I found with testing an 18K tiny link bracelet that I played with a few months ago. Sensitivity was at 22, other settings were stock.

Hard to say how deep they were. They were in the first scoop, but, kept falling through the holes. Had to find the ring with the pin pointer. The gold earring backing signal was too weak to find with the pin pointer, so, I had to go old school and take handfuls of sand and run it over the coil.

Crazy. I've been noticing the same thing with mine. 5-6" deep TINY washers and such. Im loving the 800. So easy to use IMO.

Yeah, I just hate when the tinies drop through the holes in my sand scoop. It sometimes takes awhile to find them, especially those 3mm gold beads and the brass ones too.

Good info to hear since I want an Equinox. I need to stop reading about the Nox I think because I want one more everyday lol. My Explorer wasn't great with tiny objects but my Outlaw sure is.

Nox get this pendant in freshwater, 0.24 g 14 K. Not bad but not fantastic. Many other machines can do this.

Last Saturday, my 600 led me to this tiny sterling and diamond ring. It's about the smallest ring I have ever seen and was roughly 8" deep in wet sand. Solid signal but I couldn't locate the target due to it's size and the dim light LittleRing.jpg . Finally found it in the pile of sand with my pinpointer.
