While doing update 2.0 I turned my sensitivity down to 8 since I was in the house. All excited to go test the Nox I drove to the closest beach. I forgot to readjust the sensitivity before I detected. So I’m thinking the new update lost depth. This beach gets pounded, by me, by other detectorists. Running with my sensitivity at 8 I found a clad quarter with a 1965 date down at 7”. I have gone over this area 20+ times but with that sensitivity at 8 I got a high tone squeak with a VDI at 40 and all depth bars illuminated. I’m thinking the quarter was on edge. I also found a 44 wheat penny that was just a whisper. With that sensitivity down I didn’t hear much noise below the coil. The coins would squeak and some would get an ID and some it was just the sound. Now I’m thinking I should use less sensitivity to see if I can hear the coins. Wondering if maxing out sensitivity highlights too much garbage and not enough coin?
