Nice. It depends on where u are. I skip 8 most times but got a massive gold chain that came in as 8. I only dug it because I was in the water and the digging is easy.

NICE! 8's in a park-type setting are often foil, or can slaw. You did well, to choose to dig that target! Was there any particular reason you dug THAT one, versus other 8's?

You have to think baby ring but a baby would suck it off their finger . I am doing the low tones on a permission I have went over so anything that comes up I dig . Got a good repeatable 8 all around . Pretty much all that is left is low tones .

AHH, makes sense, 1942 merc. Digging a permission, and down to where you are digging any good tone...

NICE!

You don't want to pass up the lower IDs, my best ever 18K bracelet came in at a repeatable 4. Others have noted finding nice gold as low as 1 and high of 19. My 18K wedding band is a solid 18. I looked for the chart someone posted and if I remember correctly they had gold rings in the 3 to 19 range plotted out. I'll keep looking for the chart tomorrow.

Nice recovery! 18 seems to be a key gold ring id for me personally. Clive claims 14 is and I believe it since it is a solid tab number.

I have found more rings with the equinox than the ATP and deus combined .22 seems to be a good one for me . Three rings at 22 all plated though . My dues found a 1950 women's class ring 45 and I was not the one using it . This tiny thing is my first real gold ring and black hills gold is not worth much . It is not plated and 10k and it will not fit the tip of my pinky finger, falls right off . If it is for a baby maybe it is older ? Now days you would think osha baby patrol would be all over the choking hazard . Could be a charm ring to a necklace ? Is that a thing ?

My guess is a toe ring. It's funny because all three of my solid gold rings bounced from 18 to 21-22. Very similar signals but that 18 was the dominant id. Lately I've been digging lots of tab and zinc penny signals in search of more yellow shiny but it seems like it pops out when you really least expect it!

I have found two smallish gold nuggets so far with my EQ800, one rang in at 8, and one at nine. So yeah, I'll dig an 8. Even in a trashy park, it could be a 10K gold ring. OR, it could be foil but you won't know till you dig it.

Tony Eisenhower did a nice video on plotting gold rings on YouTube.

The best 2 rings I ever found (both in the 30-35K range, read 2 on the Nox. I also tested an 18K tennis bracelet with diamonds in it and it read 1. Love those low tones at the beach! :icon_thumleft:
