When all else fails I go back to factory presets. Sometimes apps just mess things up. I'd first try what you used to do, and then go from there.

agree with you 100%.

I was hunting a CW site using tone bins and for the 1st 40 min nothing but some trash. Got fed up and did factory reset, switched to field 2, noise canceled and ground balanced. In 15 min found a flat button, then about 15 later a carved bullet.

A coincidence? or directly related to the factory preset. I think it was related to the factory reset. I think with my advanced settings I had somehow gotten the 800 de-tuned and the factory reset but it back in the standard default modes and by using them as designed by the engineers I had the 800 better tuned.
