well to start off ... I FOUND SILVER!!!! A 1948 Washington Quarter.

Keep in mind finding silver where I hunt (civil war relics in metro Atlanta) is very rare for me. Last silver was a 1964 Washington Quarter 2 years ago.

Did the 10 x 5 find it? yes. Would the stock coil on my 800 probably. It was only about 5 inches down. It gave off a rock solid 31 all the way around. thought it was a beer can top, got 2-3 of those. Raised my coil, signal faded like it should on a coin. So dug it.

Silver coins don't fool around when you uncover them they show their true colors that have not changed a bit since they were lost.

Found other clad and junk you can see in the pictures.

It was a 2 hour hunt. Easy on me since I have the 10 x 5 coil and Steve Detector's rod on my 800. I used tire out after 1 to 1.5 hours on the stock coil and rod on the 800 in the Ga heat and humidity

Also made a shovel much like Calabash digger's shovel that eliminated about 90% of the stooping, bending, kneeling when digging. It is a 39" hardwood handled shovel with a smaller shovel blade about 6" wide. ifindssilver8222021 (2).jpg ifindssilver8222021 (1).jpg

Love the silver quarters! Congratulations!
I'm considering the Coiltek 10x5 as an addition to my "toolbox". I'm glad to hear good things about it.
