Festival Celebrates Old West Tradition
Grab your sense of adventure and your gold pans and head for the Gold and Outdoor Festival at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18-19.
Presented by the Delta Gold Diggers and sponsored by Minelab and Chicken Ranch Casino. Bring the family for an old-fashioned good time and the chance to bring home gold and prizes. Free gold to the first 100 each day.
Events will include: metal detecting hunts for kids and adults, hands on equipment demonstrations, bucket mucking, gold pan toss, and kids pan for real gold.
There will be vendors, information on how and where to go gold mining and plenty of family fun.
Admission is $7 for adults; children 12 and under are free.
