Colorado Strippers Wage cuts make it hard to stay warm

Jerica Roush's power was shut off Wednesday, the second time in the past month her home went dark.

The 19-year-old, a dancer at Oasis Cabaret gentlemen's club in Adams County, said the sinking economy has drastically cut her wages, making it harder to pay the bills.

"It's the economy, the wintertime, Christmas, everything," Roush said Wednesday afternoon while applying for financial assistance from the state Low-income Energy Assistance Program.

This week, she made $18 for a day's worth of work. She used to make $100 a day.

"Not as many people are coming in," she said.

I'm surprised the power company can cut her off in the winter... I know in Wisconsin it's state law that it can not be cut off in the winter months, which leads to 1,000's of disconnects in spring! But the people know that & pay up before they get disconnected.

Not that it matters, Same here in PA They can be charged with a crime
for Cutting power in the winter from my understanding.

Ya even 100 a day is crap for a dancer, I know the clubs here most of them pull well over a grand a night. Not that I would know. But I think its time to find a new profession if shes only making 18 bucks an hour, I mean even minimum wage pays more then that. Instead of complaining maybe she should look for a day job. Im willing to bet shes on welfare anyway.

maybe not on welfare...but shes ugly for sure...I have a friend from college that danced to pay her bills... finished college and kept on dancing.
she works at a really nice club in Miami now... and she makes tons of money!
