Unclaimed Winning Ticket was Sold in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County
MIDDLETOWN PENNSYLVANIA

– May 14, 2009 - A Powerball ticket from the May 28, 2008, drawing worth $400,000 has yet to be presented to the Pennsylvania Lottery for payment. The ticket and prize are scheduled to expire on May 28 – one year from the date of the drawing.

“As of today, the ticket has not been claimed,” said Lottery Executive Director Ed Trees. “We encourage players to check their old tickets in hopes the winner of this substantial prize will come forward to claim it before time runs out in two weeks.”

The Powerball ticket correctly matched all five white balls, 10-18-22-37-45, for a $200,000 prize, and because the ticket was purchased with the PowerPlay option, the multiplier for that evening’s drawing – two – doubled the prize won to $400,000, less 25 percent federal withholding.

The winning ticket was sold at Karns Foods, 4870 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County. The store will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
