Re: Back to the days of years gone by--the 1950's a retro look.
At 42 years of age I can honestly say I remember some of that. Granted it was not new in my youth, but growing up in a small town (270 people) we had a lot of that left over.
Many of the "appliances" listed there were regularly used at both of my grandmother's homes as well!
I miss the drive in, and I miss the old drug stores too!

Almost 45 here but I recall the drug store soda fountains, penny candy etc. I even remember the furniture at the grandparents house. What memories! I cannot imagine what memories you have if you were a teen during the 50's. It had to be a great time. Sure was cheaper to eat!

Heck, I am only 30 and I can remeber some of that stuff at my grandparent's house. I even still have some of it, like that rotary phone and some of the furniture. I think I may even have a box of those flashbulbs stashed away somewhere.

Yes I do remember those days.
Now for the sixty four thousand dollar question. Who am I? Who's all these strange people in my living room? Did I take my meds this moring?
I'm Sea'mus King of the Leprechauns and I remember those days and forgot what was for dinner last night. I really know who these people in my living room are and I don't take meds except for blood pressure.
