I have moved forums no bigger than Hot Talk's forum in a few hours from one host to another --- and did a software upgrade too. Unless there is a problem with the database, I'm beginning to believe it is history.

Too bad. Oh well, was fun while it lasted, except for what happened to me . . . but that's a story for another thread.

Well, I pray Marc is well and healthy, maybe on Holiday or has sold the forums but in any case I hope we hear from him and know he is OK! Bill

I was one of the first to register and at first it was like a lawless old west town until fine moderators were appointed and "cleaned up the town". It appeared that at last there was to be meaningful discourse and I was pleased the way things were progressing. I do miss the conversations and sharing of ideas about many subjects.
I also hope there is no cause to worry about Marc; perhaps he is on holiday....

I don't know "Goldilocks", what are you happy in? Something (to quote you) "to explore your feminine side"?

It was really nice though, no trolls after the mods were appointed. Wonder if it will come back, or if someone should just "reinvent" that site for the members here who enjoy those discussions.

I can't see it coming back. Hard to justify its life for just a few guys to have some "meaningful discourse"
    with each other.
Plus it caused the mental breakdown of one moderator.

    WHO

All of the mods from HT are here, did any of you suffer a mental breakdown?

If on one answers, maybe you need to retract your statement . . .

Unfortunately, some folks either had to have it their way, or they left like the coward they were. Soon as there was some order added to the site, the troublemakers like Goldilocks and some other person who shall remain nameless, grabbed their toys and went home like children.

The racial slurs, and the hatred coming from the left is unbelieveable. If you don't agree that you should give them what you worked to earn, then you're just hateful and uncaring. So, yes, if that is how you define hateful and uncaring, maybe I am. I just give of my time and money to causes that help my community, but that's just not the same as letting government take what they want and decide who should get it based on their unwillingness to contribute to society.

Just another casualty of the Great WN&E War of 2009. Bummer, kinda fun watching the Fundi's going after each other.

I went there and read the many posts...some were very meaningful..I only saw a couple of people there causing discourse...One was a poster called Goldilocks who's writing and remarks seemed so like yours...so is the mirror now facing in if a moderator actually did have a breakdown?

Thar's great Texastee that your keeping an eye on things. You have mentioned it twice now. Be sure to send me a copy of your report to the moderators wont you when your done.

By the way "Discourse" is not caused. Check out the meaning as used in the expression "meaningful discourse" as I quoted from AU24K.
Felinepeachy's(a moderator) parting words from the forum were words to the effect that "if we all agree with each other there's nothing to talk/argue/debate/discuss about"
I agree fully with this level headed person and wish to add that trouble is usually caused by those with glass jaws. i.e., those who constantly complain when they get so easily offended.
If you cannot debate or appreciate other peoples opinion then Don't.

I enjoy talking trash if it is about treasure. I have no patience for mentally challenged people. I hope this thread also is deleted. Nothing but trouble.
