I camp alone at times and love to just be alone. I don't like to be alone in the woods though. Too quiet, I hear things that aren't there. And here in mid Michigan the woods are proably the safest place to be. I'm just getting started MDing and I know I'll be doing a lot of it alone. But most of it will be in areas where there are people, at least at first. If I have to go somewhere secluded I'll make my husband or grandchildren go with me. I'd take my German Shepherd along, but most of my time would be spent with him chasing squirrels and he's so darn friendly he probably wouldn't be much help. All in all I'm just not afraid to be out alone.
