How utterly fantastically strange... folks carving headstones during those years for pets - they must have been well off during the great depression.

Seems like a lot of effort for small pets.

This may sound dumb, but if I had a farm with a pet cemetary, and I had a few gold coins to hide when roosevelt declared bullion illegal to own ............................. might be worth swinging a coil in the area

I can understand how a person can become really attached to a pet, especially a dog. Sometimes I think they only lack a real set of vocal cord and if they did they would be right next us on the itelligence scale.
