I really enjoy reading what everyone else has found. I live in Port Angeles Wa and have a unique situation when it comes to local metal detecting. The area here is a natural harbor and has quite a history. During WW1 there was a fleet stationed here, P.A. is the second "National" city, right after D.C. Sounds good for metal detecting right, all the explores stopped here etc. However, there were high cliffs behind a town built on stilts. The city took high preasure hoses and blasted away the cliffs (no EPA) and all the mud covered the old town on the beach and the mud went out to sea. I find a lot of clad and pop tops locally but really need to go out of town to metal detect. There are a lot of old logging sites in the woods around here but not much over a hundred years old.
