I Should have Heat again by Monday at the Latest.

Going to Buy a New heater Today or Tomorrow

Then just need to Get Service in to Hook it up,
If there is more then just Me hooking the Propane
tank line on. A little afraid of Leaks at the Connector.
Since I Smoke.

if you want to check for leaks on your own, put some Dawn in a pump spray bottle with some water
and spray on the connections. if it's leaking it will bubble continuously

Good job...never mess with propane hook up unless you are and expert!!! get a carbon monoxide detector...it could save your life!!!

I Think I'm my own Detector

I Drink Coffee from
4 till Noon
then get so Tired I Can't stay awake.
So I sleep then Wake up
and need to take a Hand Full
of Tylanol for a Migraine.

Didn't know why till They told me this.

But untill about 10 Years ago
I Also lived with Coal Sulper from
Coal heat all my life.

That is an outrageous price.

Gas is outrageous as well, we had a gas furnace that was about 50 years old, you could cook a damn steak on the pilot light if you could fit it in their. Anyways last year when we first moved here in January, our bills were between $450 and $550.

Needless to say once the 2009 winter was over, I called columbia gas and had them come out and shut it off. The furnace was the only thing in the house that was gas, so we just converted to electric and did allot of weatherizing.

Hope your staying warm, and your toes aren't freezing like Kelly's.

I've got a water source heat pump, and it works great. it did take some getting used to though considering
I was used to propane heat

I'm definately Not Cold.
Turn all Heat sources off at Night & Stay
Toasty Under the Covers.
Great for Sleeping !

First thing in the Mornings though I'm moving
Fast Like KELLY Is right now but
I'm Surviving.

Just got call From DK He found a Heater on
his Rounds for under $200 I Said BUY !
Called KOPPY's & Made appointment for
tomorrow to Hook it up.

Hopefully that will End the "Sleepy Time" Noons for Me
& Save me the cost of more Tylanol Too

Propaine at KOPPYS is $2.695 Per Gallon
right now. Don't know if there is Cheaper in my Area.

PA Just Released PP&L from Fixed Prices
So Electric went up 30% state wide Jan 1st.

We are now Choosing our Electric Suppliers.
so Mine will only rise 20% for 2010

I buy my propane from a local oil company. current cost is 1.81 gallon

You really have to be careful with gas valves and such.
There are two different types of gases for appliances, heaters and so forth---LP(liquid Propane) and natural gas. The valves, regulators, etc. are NOT interchangeable.
But, I guess you already know this...

Are you sure it isint just the thermocouple. $10 bucks and you are good to go.

definately not.

i can get the pilot lit.
i can turn it all the way up.
but within 30 seconds it clicks and turns off

have a new heater here waiting for Koppys Propane
to stop in and Hook it up.
