Greetings,everyone, Here is a copy of an email that I think is great and want to pass it along. It has so much meaning.

Enjoy and see if it brings back any memories. Ray

I still like the old paths best, don't you?

The Old Paths

I liked the old paths, when

Moms were at home,
Dads were at work,
Brothers went into the army,
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!

Crime did not pay;
Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.

Moms could cook;
Dads would work;
Children would behave.

Husbands were loving,
Wives were supportive;
And children were polite.

Women wore the jewelry;
And men wore the pants.

Women looked like ladies;
Men looked like gentlemen;
And children looked decent.

People loved the truth,
And hated a lie.

They came to church to get IN,
Not to get OUT.

Hymns sounded Godly;
Sermons sounded helpful;
Rejoicing sounded normal;
And crying sounded sincere.

Cursing was wicked;
Drugs were for illness;
And divorce was unthinkable.

The flag was honored;
America was beautiful;
And God was welcome!

We read the Bible in public;
Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house.

To be called an American was worth dying for;
To be called an American was worth Living for;
To be called a traitor was a shame!

I still like the old paths the best!

Thanks, RPG. Times could be hard back in the good old days, but so many of the values and the honest, sincere way of living
seems to have gone by the wayside. Ray

They still exist and are practiced in isolated pockets around this country. My wife and I, plus our five children fit the description for most of our married lives. Gorgeous truths and well worth living. Thanks once again KR8. Please note my signature.

How times have changed, but some still carry on the 'old ways'.

Greetings, BillKY, yes, I believe that and I am glad to see that you are living by the old truths, My wife and I are like
that and will be having our 45 wedding anniversary later this year. I see your signature and I am honored that you would
choose something that I posted to use. That is a very good truth to live by.
May God bless you and yours and give youall a long and happy life together.

Ray

Hello, fossis, that's correct, times have changed alot, but thankfully, like you say, there are still some that still
live by the old ways.
Thank you for your reply.
