    Some more ice flows

Hello, we have been having some nice spring weather for the last week, so I went to see if the ice in Lake Huron was
breaking up. It is froze all the way across for several miles up from the mouth of the St Clair River. The ice is starting to break up now and is floating into the river. Here are some pics of it. It was about 55 degrees and I cought this guy out here
kinda rushin the season and wearingjust a T-shirt.

    Beautiful pictures Ray.
I was reading the news at boatnerd dot com, says the Poe lock will open early this year, 22 nd I believe due to the increased demand in taconite pellets.
Wonder if shipping will increase on the St. Clair River as well?

    Re: Some more ice flows

Thanks, Mike. It has already started. There were three freighters that got stuck in the ice here already. I'll post
some pics of a freighter that ran aground this past weekend. I'll put them on DAILY SNAPSHOT.
