Re: What's For Dinner?

Something frozen........again. Wife broke her leg last month and had to have surgery. She is out of the hospital but had to be put in a convalescent home for rehab. She will still be there for another month or so. I HATE shopping!!!..............unless it's the sporting goods dept., nursery or the Tractor Supply store. I'm gone 12 hours a day so I don't have time to fix anything good. Heck, I may get back down to my fighting weight. ;D (gotta cut back on the beer though)

They're always looking for an excuse. A broke leg is no excuse for not having supper cooked when you get home. >:( :D

Dam, I didn't know my wife was looking over my shoulder. I think she just broke something. :-\

It's baked ziti again tonite.

Thanks to my wonderful wife. :)

Wishing your wife a speedy recovery. :hello:

Re: What's For Dinner?

Thing is, she's in a convalescent home, not at the house when I get home. Otherwise she would have to hobble around and have something ready. I'm gone about 12 hours a day so she wouldn't have to rush or anything. ;D

I won't apologise for being a carnivor.
Consider myself at the top of the food chain.
I did however not eat meat for dinner tonight.
Had a nice 4 course meal.
Peanut butter sandwich and 3 beers.

Oh, what was that recipe for armadillos?

Last night was a frozen Hungry Man sliced turkey breast dinner. Tonight I'm thinkin' 'bout that big chicken pot pie I spied in the freezer. Oh yeah, and a couple doughnuts for dessert!

union chunks
button mushrooms
apple slices
pineapple chunks
water chestnuts
bell pepper chunks
seedless grapes
Ekrich smoked sausage chunks
chicken breast chunks
individual baby pack rib sections

Put it all in the basket and smother with barbacue souce. Stir it around as needed, cook until meat starts to blacken a bit.

You're going to spoil that woman. :tongue3:

When she gets home, she's going to be sitting in your recliner when you come in, expecting you to fix dinner. I think she's taking this a little too far. ::)

By the way, how is she doing? I'm wishing her a speedy recovery. :)

Re: What's For Dinner?

My salad

Lettuce
Eggs (2 hard boiled)
Croutons
Avocado
Fake Crab Meat
Thousand Island Dressing

End up throwing away old lettuce, stale moldy croutons, forgotten dressing,
2/3 of the fake crab.
Cost = $12
I only eat salad once or twice a year.

Re: What's For Dinner?

After going to the local Moose Club and having about 4-5 beers, we bought a tombstone frozen pizza and cooked up some sausage, crumbled it up and put it on with some shredded mozzarella cheese and It was really good.

Re: What's For Dinner?

I think it illegal in Mexican Restaurants to have a Margarita without chips and salsa.
But then again most of them are illegal too.
Shut up Randy.

Had a pressed ham looking/tasting sandwich and a beer. I was tired. Forget to eat sometimes.
Worked 9 hrs. in shop, welded bumper back on 1 sons truck, and did coms for 2 other kids as they climbed a mountain.
One thing about the beer - may not have to wear suspenders anymore. LOL

This sounds really good, I may have to give it a try, I may not have all ingredients so I might have to mix it up with a few substitutes.
