Re: What's For Dinner?

Ya know, it gets hard to cook for one; to please ME. :laughing7:
Tonight it is the usual once a month pot of chili, some home-made potato salad on the side, sliced cukes and iced tea.
I did pick up some filet Mignons and will wrap them in bacon for the grill tommorow or Sunday....
"Film at 11:00"
Man, ya gotta be able to think outside the box and come up with something new and original now and again!

Best Wishes All,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

What ever is in the fridge.

And, that's a smorgasbord tonite.

Since the wife broke her foot, the kin folks have been bringing food every day and my fridge is so full I can't find room to cool my beer. :D I had to go out and buy ice and cool it in an ice chest. :D

I've got chicken spaghetti, green bean casserole, squash casserole, chicken salad, home made pimento cheese, home made mac and cheese, rotisserie chicken and corn bread. Not to mention a large bag of fresh tomatoes and four containers of fruit for the girls. OMG. :D

I'm in hog heaven right now. :laughing9:

I was told today, they are going to start bringing more Monday. :tongue3:

When this foot heals, I'm breaking the other one. ::)

Friend,
I feel your "pain." :laughing7:
Cooking for one is hard...there's always leftovers!
The secret is to have a balance of something "new" to go along with the something "old!"

PS.
Do not forget the rules of leftovers:

#1)Do not eat anything that is fuzzy
#2)Do not eat anything that has rainbow colors
#3)Microwaves do not kill botulism
Have I forgotten any other rules?

Best,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

This is the reason I started this thread...
Carol used to ask me every time we saw each other or talked, "What's For Dinner."
She passed about 2 1/2 years ago.
I miss Carol....

Best,
Scott

Sweet Italian sausage simmered with sweet peppers and onions in a sub roll.
Cut in half and save one for lunch tomorrow.
