same thing happened to me. they got into my contacts list and sent an email to all my contacts. This was only in my yahoo account and I have already sent an email to everyone not to open the file and I have changed my password. We also verified that it was not a virus.

mine is not a virus either. I found out I was hacked when my wife got an email from me saying that I was trapped in England without enough money to come home (I was mugged according to the email) and was asking for money. Funny, I was still laying in bed. I went to log in and was out cold! My facebook is also hacked!!!!

Doug

that was where it originated.

Your facebook login is your email, right?
And you probably use the same password?
that is pretty common lately, and they will start on facebook.
Which is one of the reasons I won't get one.
There is enough info out there, and facebook contributes to the Lion's share, lately..
You put it there, and it is OUT THERE.

I'm with ya there Spooky, don't do that facebook/myspace thingy
Too much crap going on.

Well that and the fact that I am still waiting for some States statute of limitations to run out
before I show my face :laughing7:

Years ago, someone hacked into my Feebay account and listed a Rolex watch under my username and password....
They also hacked into my email acct and when someone asked about the watch, they pulled the
emails so I never saw them or suspected anything.... (I got all my other mail like usual)
Once the item sold, they no longer cared and I got an email from someone saying they like the
watch I sold and if I had another they would be interested...
When I said I wasn't selling a watch they sent me the link..... on Feebay...
and sure enough.... there I was selling a real nice watch for $500 or $600 .....
Needless to say, the guy never got his watch and he started sending me nasty emails
threatening me... to get his money back so forth and so on....
Feebay cleared it up, I changed passwords and the world was again at piece...
