Ok, lets get past the CGI-3D babes, and lets get on with this post, OK. England beat The blessed country of Australia in the Worlds most un-padded game the other day, and no brit pariot has said anything, well let me be the first. As my chosen sport, and one I have loved to play, sod football, support English Rugby, You know it makes sense.

I'd just like to thank our friends across the Big Pond for inventing the sport of Rugby! I've played since 1991, and can say without a doubt, it IS the best sport in the world. No pads, no helmets, two halves of play at 40 minutes each without timeouts. Is is definately the best test of a true athlete. Though soccer (football) is currently the #1 played team sport in the world, Rugby is a close second. It's a shame that due to the high dollar profesional sports played in the US we will never really know the true potential our Country could have on the international level in Rugby. We are the defending Olympic Champions though, and will see how we fare in 2016 during the Rugby 7s competition recently put back into the games.

I will be traveling to Sydney, Australia in September of this year to play in the 18th Annual World Golden Oldies Rugby Festival being held there. To date, there are over 150 teams entered to play from 20some countries. All us "Old Guys" (35 years of age and older) look forward to the Festival that is held every two years. (see picture for proof of that statement)

When our team was in Scotland in 2008 one of my team mates was slightly injured during our first match. Being the true "Rugger" he is, his being on crutches didn't deter him from heading into some fields later in the week with some Scotland friends for some metal detecting! Rugby players and metal detectorists! Never say never :icon_thumright:

cricket you use a boat paddle baseball we use a bat 3 times smaller than a fence post we hit home runs you hit sticky wichits to ring a bell we throw over hand 100 mph plus you fling the ball for next to 60-70 mph and last but not least we took old sports and made them better now for my native american side we play ed lacross with no pads and a ndn version of football smaller than that pumkin yall play with and scottish invented golf the english invented the goofy clothes in which to play the game in so i say the americans didnt do a half bad job making something old even newer and better and with more financial reasons for which to do it for :P

Hmm..in cricket we use a bat that's shorter and twice as wide as a baseball bat.Sorry about the width but i didn't invent the game!
Our "home runs" are called "a six"...worth six runs see? Not 1 "home run" like yours. Same principal though..whack it into the crowd etc!
If anything it's pitchers who "fling" the ball.We "bowl" it overarm, which tends to limit speed delivery, but trust me,you wouldn't want to stand and face them as once they hit the ground in front of you they can veer off wildly in all directions! There's a very LARGE difference between "bowling" and "pitching/throwing".

Saying the Scots invented golf and not the English is like saying California invented hot chicks with breast implants...not Florida!!
Technically you're right,so i'll let your whine stand.

You're going back a couple of hundred years to Indians playing lacrosse?? Ok i can handle that. As the world lacrosse champions have never been anyone other than Canada or the USA i guess it's them you're having a go at and not we Brit's? (Failing to see your point on this one, sorry lol)

Keeping up with the wages of American "superstars" is what has killed many sports...including your own! Sports should be played for the love of the game, and never for "financial reasons"!
People seem to become very famous from the Olympics, where no competitor is allowed to have recieved "payments" which would make them a "professional", so why pay so called "professionals" astronomical amounts for a sport that NOBODY on earth can play 100% fantastic each and every game?

NEXT!!!

The Top flight Bowlers average 90+mph regular, and quite often bowl 30 overs or more in a day, without a loss in pace, the fastest recorded delivery was by Shoaib Akthar, of a 160.58 km/h over a 100mph, Jeff Thompson of Austraila was reputed to have bowled at 180km/h...big difference to 60-70mph, which would be classed as medium pace, I wish people would post facts about our sport and not Bull $hit  :laughing9:

Ah huh...we're the only country that idolizes our losers! I think if someone gave me a pair of skis and a "competitor" badge...i could have beat him!
He'd have been less famous had he been drugged and tied up in the hold of the plane over there for the entire contest..which is what SHOULD have happened! :laughing9:

But...but....but...your cars are plastic pieces of....well,to be diplomatic....CRAP! :laughing9:
In movies if a car touches 98mph everything outside goes all blurry..like the starship Enterprise going into warp drive. That's slower than a pitched baseball!!!
They may look good..but then so did the English army...and look what happened to them!

" Six countries are competing in the first ever International Federation of women’s American Football world championships, which kick off on Sunday at the Zinkensdamms IP Stadium in Stockholm.
The USA, perhaps unsurprisingly, start the tournament as favourites. They take on Austria on Sunday, while hosts Sweden face number two seed Canada. Finland and Germany have their first games on Tuesday, against Austria and Sweden respectively "

Gotta love living in Sweden! :hello2:

Who cares? If you guys like to watch guys in various stages of dress and postures, well your loafers are just a little light. I prefer to watch women do anything compard to watching hairy legged men. The only reason anyone would get smashed in the face with a soccor ball is because they are too stupid to duck. M :laughing7: nty
