i lived every parents nightmare, someone shot 2 rounds into my daughters apartment last night just missin her and her boyfriend. The police came but nothing was found. There is a 24 hour taco place close so her boyfriend and i are gonna ask questions. If we find um its gonna look like an accident.

Cops are getting lazier and lazier these days. They found NOTHING??!! Bull! Did they even bother to check for shell casings on the ground? Give the area a sweep with the trusty detector, if you do find brass, dont touch it. Then you can point the Fife squad towards the evidence.

I am angry to hear about this incident but I am also grateful that your daughter and her boyfriend didnt get hit. I hope you do find whoever did this and that you would be given 10 minutes alone with them with no wittnesses around.

First, are you sure it was a drive by or casual shooting? If it was targeted, do you know what the reason is.
Second, did they not find the rounds in the house and the bullet holes?
Can you use the holes and rounds to draw a line back to the point of shooting?
If you can run the line back to where the gun was fired, then look for the casiings. If the weapon was hand loaded, there will be prints.

Same thing happened to my parents next door neighbors a few years back. The neighbors were in their seventies-appears the shooters got the wrong house. Ever since my Dad kept a 12 guage loaded with 00 buck handy. Sure glad he never had to use it!!

Where was the shooting? I agree about the cameras. You never know what will turn up.

I noticed a fresh bullet in a house I lived in a block from the PD (there were 2 older ones). Asked them if they wanted to dig it out. HA. They couldn't be bothered.

First off, I am relieved that your daughter and her boyfriend are OK, check all cctv cameras in the area. The local fast food place might have them planning something. But don't do anything rash, your daughter needs you on the outside, plan then plan again. As per other posts, try to work out where the shots came from then go look for casings. You can do this mate, your a Tnetter.
