Any 40's chevy car buffs out there?????

I am a muscle car guy but I recently found a grille in a dump that is in excellent shape..stainless steel..it is very similar to the bottom of a 1947 chevy grille..however there is a U or an n shape in the center of the grille..the 47 is strait across..its not 46 is not 48..i checked other brands..buick, pontiac and even ford..nothing close to it..i know its in the 40's but I dont have enough knowledge on it..like i say it is very very close to a 47 chevy but not a dead ringer..i dont know my cars well before 1964 (muscle era)..thanks for any input..maybe i can get a picture soon to help thanks everybody!!!

The U or n shape in the center depends on which way you flip it over..it kinda looks right both ways..im not real sure how it goes..haha

that is very hard to see, were estimating a random thing. should post pictures I really love muscle cars too. my brother likes collecting muscle car parts.
