After reading "Talk about stabbing a guy in the heart", I just had to post this.

After seeing somewhat of a split on the opinions to that post, I have decided to run a poll and see where people actually stand. Why run a post on romance to begin with? Well I'll tell you why, I am a world renown expert in this area liver lips :laughing7:

OK, let's just be honest on your assessment when it come to romance in general. Are you the type to pull out all stops? Do you go the extra yard to do something special? Are you creative in your approach? Would you make sure the time you proposed would be the most romantic time of your life, by setting a perfect atmosphere?

Later I will post my actual proposal, and trust me, it should have been entered in the "Guinness Book of Records", and not for the reasons you may think :tongue3: :laughing7:

And yes, I do have class, but unfortunately it's all "low" :laughing9: But I am sure I can straighten out a few of you. Consider me Dear Abby on steroids.

If your idea of foreplay is punching your wife on the arm and asking 'Are you ready yet?' doesn't cut the mustard. :icon_scratch:

Nor is 2 hour of begging on bended knees :laughing7:

I proposed to my wife at 11:10PM California time on February 12th, 1967. EVERY year since, 44 to be exact, at 11:10PM on Feb. 12th, I again ask her if she would still marry me and the answer is always, "Yes". One time I missed 'til morning 'cause the alarm wasn't set right. Another time the whole family was together for a reunion in Reno and I asked her in front of everyone including the strangers at the craps table. I don't know what started it but it has become "Tradition". :icon_thumleft:

I find it interesting that we are split 50/50 between the romantics and the wannabe romantics. :tongue3:

I'm really torn on packerbacker's reply.. I'm not 100% certain that is romantic, or conditioning like Pavlov's dog :icon_scratch: :laughing7: But I am leaning toward romantic ;D

I would love to hear from the other 2 great romancers and see what sets you apart from the crowd. I think you're all talk, no action. ;D

What about when she punches you and asks 'Are you ready yet?'

You Aussies have a way with the women don't you. My sweetheart said "You know we have loved each other our whole life...when we getting married?" What a way with words....But as with most things in our life...He is right. I wish everyone could find that rocking chair kinda love. What a Blessing.

Sorry Double T, I didn't mean to confuse matters. I'm a Brit, I don't have the conviction to be an Aussie :laughing7:.

:icon_thumleft: After 16 years of marriage (feb 14th!) we are still very, very romantic!!! (It's ok Chug, no pan this time!) We still leave notes for each other around the house, we've have NEVER had a fight, we never go to bed angry. We still do little gifts just for the heck of it, we tell each other daily that we love each other. I was sick a couple of weeks ago, as some of you know, my health isn't very good, but that's another story! Anyway, Chug went out while I was sick, and he came home after a few hours of metal detecting, and said to close my eyes and put out my hands! Ok, so I did, next thing I knew, I had a dirt clod in my hands. Well, I spent the next 15 minutes working the dirt and roots out, and found a cheap, and very cute little heart and chain, the heart has little CZ's around the outside, and though it is beat up, and rusted a little, it still means the world to me, that he would go through all that, just to see me smile, and to help me to feel better!!! I could go on, but you get the idea! Chug is my best freind, and so much more!!! :love3: Red

41 years of marriage to a loving , sexy woman makes it very easy to be romantic . We have shared both good and bad times together Now we are Grandparents with graying hair but as the old saying goes " a little bit of snow on the roof doesn't mean the pilot light is out" .

Bah Humbug! "Romance" is only for those who are struggling to get enough of what they want! :tongue3:
