I don't like having to scroll down through a screen plus of purple graphic and links to get to a topic or reply.

I am on here a lot and I have never seen the purple screen above......Only purple I ever see is the bar where the navigation icons are located......

As far as the minor navigation tabs, no big deal to me personally, if it had been that way when I arrived I wouldn't even know the difference.....Plus I can go to the drop menu below "Digging History" and navigate anywhere.... :icon_thumright:

The only thing I would suggest is the sub-menu for charter members, if the boxes were larger it would be easier when we slide over to the sub-menu, but since only charter members see that I am personally not sure what major changes AA sees that I don't? :dontknow:

I'm here a lot and I've never seen a screen like that, I wouldn't be complaing because it's probably a glitch.

The same here, I've never seen that big purple blob.

Didn't know what was being referred to until it was pictured. :icon_scratch:

It's obvious the past couple of weeks that Marc's been tinkering with the site. It's his site, and his perogative to do so. Have to give the guy a chance to fix the bugs without throwing your teddy out of the pram!
Apparently he's fixed it now so...welcome back, if you bother. :dontknow:

Yup,

I went to bed last night without testing something - only to find out this morning, that a lot of people with Internet Explorer were looking at a purple blob.

It is (or at least should be) fixed.

Sorry about that.

liked the old format

You DO know (don't you?) that you can select from different themes - (including one VERY similar to the old one!)

http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme

Try the theme "politics".

I will add one exactly like the old layout in the coming days....

SIGH.

I am sure a lot of members don't know they can change the theme, some never knew and others like me forget things after a days LOL, I personally like your new changes and will continue to use the new theme......

Having had to create a website completely from scratch using HTML for a college class a couple of semesters ago, I can appreciate the errors in formatting tables, using the correct "language." etc. :read2:

For example, to have a picture show up on this website in the center when you
post, you have to type; <center>
Replace the "less than" and "greater than"
symbols and use these bracket symbols instead; [ ]
Then you have to type; <attach=1> (for the picture).
Then you have to type; </center> (to turn off the center function).

If you miss just one letter or symbol, you will not get the correct display.

You are never sure what you will end up with when you hit save and refresh.

For an example of HTML on this website or any website, go to your computer's toolbar and click on "view." Then click on "source." Go ahead, do it now....
It is not until line 648 that what Frank posted in the first post, is found in the HTML language string.
And that is just for this page. EVERY page is different!

"nuff said.

Best Wishes Marc,
Scott

PS.
Hang in there, Frank. It'll get fixed and made better!

I had the purple screen yesterday but setting Tnet to "Compatibility View" took care of the problem for me. I don't mind the new format and I'm sure there are good reasons for the changes. As fast as external search engines are changing the way they operate I'd be surprised if Marc isn't having to make adjustments to the site all the time just to meet the new demands.
