With a fresh coffee in hand and detector in trunk I headed out about 7am to detect more of that estate (with the one room schoolhouse).....It is about 15 minutes from my house over back rural roads....was going about 40-45 mph, saw nothing but a brown blur out of the corner of my eye (approx.150 lb. deer) and , well, the pics speak for themselves......I am fine, the deer is not....man, those airbags sound like a shotgun going off in your car, wow.....
So tomorrow, getting a rental and my car gets to have a makeover....I included a pic of what my baby looked like before the deer.....
Also, the deer meat will not be wasted, the tow truck guy took it and didn't charge me for the tow
Damn suicidal deer!! One of my coworkers had one do that a couple of weeks ago. Be sure you are sitting down when they give you the estimate on how much it's gonna cost to fix your car!!

Well, hopefully you carry comprehensive also. Collision pays out if it is your fault, say like if you swerved from hitting the deer and went in the ditch.

Called the 800 number on the back of my card this morning, reported the accident and I'm covered and they gave me a claim number to give to whatever body shop and rental car place that I decide on.
man that sucks. thank god you are ok though. deer have run out in front of me a few times now, but i have always been lucky enough to miss them. im glad your insurance came through for you.
i hit 1 in n.h 4 years ago.. you are lucky my toyota truck had $5000,00 damage ,, man i felt bad for a month,, about the deer and the truck,,at least your fine and thats all that matters,,
Lucky your OK- up here in Minnesota the "ditch rats" are everywhere. I've had too many close calls. Glad this deer wasn't wasted- so many are!! Well, being hit in the first place is of course too bad.. . you know what I mean!!

Sorry about your car, but hey, it could have been a lot worse. Those deer can do much worse to a car, and the driver. Hope everything smoothes out for you!

Lol, another deer accident. Happens more and more often every day. Iv personally never hit a deer before, (then again im not 16 yet so that would explain it) but my dad hit one once. He was in our chevy suburban, that car cant dent whether you hit a deer or another car. lol. The deer somehow walked away... Sorry about your car...
