did you throw him back so he could get bigger and take off a whole finger in the future?

"A minute later this full grown man was flailing around the dock with a tiny flounder clamped down tight on his left index finger"

    You got my sympathy .
Night fishing one of my ponds one late August night with a know-it-all bass fishin buddy . He brought in a 20"+ fish to the bank that I wanted to net .
"I know what I'm doin,"he said as he slid his thumb down the line and got a lip hold on a 5 pound
walleye . Ever hear a 220 pound young man squeal like a pig ?
I've been the victim of grabbing a tree rat that wasn't dead , too . Lighter guys can also squeal like a pig to ammuse their friends .

Talk about "bad luck"......my cousin ended up in the ER twice in one day, (about 6 hours apart) to have the same type lure removed from his right cheek. Long story, but the short of is that on two different occasions he jerked a Rapala away early from a striking bass and lodged the treble hooks in his right cheek (face) both times. When the "same" ER doctor walked into the room the second time he couldn't help himself and he started busting a gut, then he looked at my cousin and he said, "Maybe you should try checkers, the plastic ones." His brother and I both about hit the floor, and we were already sore from laughing.

Today was the first day I caught another tiny flounder since the finger thing and I swear he was laughing at me as I took him off the hook.
