Searchers find slain deputy's wedding ring, return it to his widow
LEBANON, Ohio -- The wife of a fallen Ohio deputy has gotten his wedding ring back thanks to two people with metal detectors.
Warren County Sheriff Larry Sims tells media outlets the pair combed the scene of the crash that killed Sgt. Brian Dulle until they located his missing wedding band. It was returned to widow Abbie Dulle as she was leaving the cemetery Saturday after services for her 36-year-old husband.
Authorities in the county northeast of Cincinnati say Dulle was struck and killed last week as he put out stop sticks to try to disable a vehicle fleeing police in a high-speed chase. A judge yesterday increased bond to $2 million for the suspect, who has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges in the crash.
