Do I have to write a laundry list :laughing7:

All I know is most of the games were either Parker Bros., or Milton Bradley

As a child - Monopoly, Game of Life, Chess, Checkers, Risk, Parchessi and RACKO
Broadside? Was a naval game set in the American Revolution
Flying Aces? Air war WWI Spads vs the tri-plane and Albertros
Pacific Island? Stratergy WWII board game

Now - Scrabble and Axis & Allies

You know, in the end Barbie got everything. It ended poorly, Johnny West got mauled by a poodle, G.I. Joe lost the use of an arm, and Ken.....well, as I recall G.I.Joe and Johnny West killed him and buried him in the back yard. :laughing7:

My older brother commanded the North and for some reason, he always won. The game was so technical and realistic.

Gettysburgh game 1959.jpg

We couldnt afford most of these games so we made our own. If a neighbor kid had the game, we copied it. Another favorite I remember was a Le Mans car racing game and of course we made and played Risk. Candyland? I dont remember that one Mike, but Im sure I forgot most of them. Ah I remember a cool baseball game where we pitched a magnet to a metal backboard and hit it without seeing it with a springy toy bat... It was really cool.... And the vibrating football game... and the....

The usual board games mentioned above, and chess. Favourite though was "subbuteo table football" (soccer to you heathens).

A big gang of us used to have our own favourite teams. We'd play each other in a full football season twice, just like the real thing, and then we'd all battle it out to win all the trophies. Trust me, it's a lot harder than it looks, but with practice you can become pretty good.

A "soccer" board game?? That's just amazing!! I thought "pet rocks" were a little far fetched. I guess Brit parents want their kids to play quietly, I can understand that. ;D
