The automobile industry has responded to a rule authorized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that allows E15 fuel – 85 percent gasoline, 15 percent ethanol – to be sold at gas stations across the country. In short: the response is anything but supportive.

Car manufacturers like Ford, BMW, Toyota and Honda, expressed disapproval of the E15 mixture intended to help ween the industry off foreign oil. Their responses were just made public Tuesday afternoon.

Almost all of the companies’ qualms are based on the fact that E15 would do irreparable damage to cars made before 2001 and using the new ethanol fuel would violate many of the warranties they issue for their vehicles.

I know it is causing a lot of outboard motor problems down here, probably the #1 cause of motor/carb issues in recent years.

10% has caused my MPG to drop by several
miles too yet prices still keep going up.

I think it also is the cause of some power loss.

15% will probably destroy it :(

I Know when they started this
there were cars Breaking down
along the highways after Filling up.

Several of them with their service stations help
were able to get compensation from the
places they filled up at.

I sure hope I can do the same
if 15% shuts my car off.

Maybe send the Bill to the EPA

Jeff, I don't think the government gives a rats A$$ about anybody's car. The EPA is probably hoping it will break down so you will go out and buy an electric car.

Been thinking the same >:(

Most likley they are slowley upping it
so they can Slowley destroy engines.

after 15% has destroyed all the engins it is going to,

they will up it to 20% Etc.

till nothing but 2015 cars which they
are probably expecting will run on 100% ethanol,
are left.

& of course only people who have a $100,000.00
salery & Public transport will be on the road :(

My guess they want oil to stay in the ground
for future generations to admire, If they had
X-Ray Vision :icon_scratch:

My Guess the guy in the center of the Earth
steering it around the sun, dosn't need
all this oil for fuel :coffee2:

Somethin's Gotta Give.....

A friend of mine has a Kawasaki Mule, Farm vehicle...Since they brought this Ethanol into our tanks...It has effected his engine, It won't idle, Runs rough loss of power. It must be related to your Vehicle Jeff.... Changed all filters, Fluids..Gave a good tuneup..Still same problem...I told him to add a lot of Octane booster to the fuel see if that helps....maybe try an octane booster Jeff..That might help your problem...I have not heard his results yet...Worth a shot..
