Could use some suggestions please!
Hi all, now you all know Chug detects, I just started recently due to my health being bad, just for sarters, I have severe fibromayalgia, RLS, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and a few other problems. I use a cane due to being unstable on my feet, and have fallen and hurt myself a few times. I want to thank Marinedad for his wonderful help and the bucket buddy, it wraps around a 6 gallon bucket, and holds everything we need, then when I'm tired, I have a place to sit too, not to mention we have a place to put the garbage we pick up! I use the probe for now, but want to use a detector, I will need something small and light, and I'm left handed...strongly! So, anyone have any idea's of what could work for me, we love to search the sand, parks and grass, I won't do water as I'm afraid of falling! Thanks for reading, HH!!!! Red
Found my first gold for 2011!!!! One gold and diamond ring, and one 22 carat gold ring from Europe!!!!!

Re: Could use some suggestions please!
Try a chest or hip mount type of detector less weight on the arm. Most metal detecting companies have them. As far brand of detectors I like White and Fisher detectors.

Tesoro makes some nice machines that are very lightweight 2.5 lbs. Some days when my old age catches up with me I hunt with a Tesoro made Troy X2 with a 7" coil ( very similar to the Silver uMax) . Hope your feeling better soon .

I was looking at the Silver uMax, and can't remember the name of the other one, but it's for kids, and the price is right, that way I can get a pinpointer, so that Chug doesn't have to keep sharing his, that's what I use when we go out, and he does the swinging! I cannot wait to get my own machine, I'm drooling just thinking about it!!!! Red

Yep, I'm hooked, hopelessly, deeply! There is nothing like walking in the fresh air, feeling the wind on your face, hearing birds, and the beep! beep! beep! of your machine! Not to mention being able to spend time with your best freind, even if you don't find anything, just being alive and out there is enough!!! Red

Amen Sister....isn't it nice to know that God gave you the greatest treasure....the love of a faithful, loving mate?
OMG yes, that is THE best treasure of all!!! You know true love when your having a bucket day, and your better half will clean your bucket for you without complaint, and can still look at you and tell you how beautiful you are, no matter what!!! Chug is a keeper!!!! Red

The lowest costing and least complicated Tesoro model is the Compadre. It's well liked by many adults also .The Garrett Pro-pointer is an excellent pinpointer you might want to consider .
