Ebay tip.

Many of you might already know this. I find it useful and fascinating.

Let's say you're looking for a blue-green marble. And you end up in the marbles section.

If you scroll down on the left side below the various adjustments you'll find 'completed listings'.

Click on it. It shows you all the expired listings whether bought or unsold. It gives you a real assessment of what is selling, how much sold for, and what is not selling. It also shows what people are buying regularly.

Just thought I'd share this tip.

Example:

A marble might be listed at $500 or $5000.

It might only bring 5 cents.

You hear it all the time; "but they are listed on ebay for ___"

Completed listings are the true price things are selling for.

Good reminder Cappy. :icon_thumleft:

what gets me is ---example---I am looking to buy a new camper.
I search "Cyclone 370C toyhauler, blah, blah,---click on it--and it comes up ebay, with a bid of $10K and this thing is like $54K, and it says reserve not met yet.

so isn't it basically everyone selling everything and to weed thru and find the real sellers and not the 'lets put it on, no one will bid high enough' issue?

truly I find ebay and all that auction stuff to be a royal pain....but heck, my friend can navigate thru it like crazy and buys things all the time LOL
