Well,I called HP maintenance and support and after listening for an hour to tech telling Me what they will do
,then tells me 169$ for restore.
All I wanted was a recovery disc she tells Me it wont take care of My problems.
I v,e never had that kind of problems with toshiba,the recovery disc solves all ills.
So tonight My Wifes HP goes back to walmart,and Mine goes back to Ebay.
unless someone here wants to buy a LIke New HP nc6400 for price I paid,189$.

somehow I lost the restore function,the popup blocker blocks everything(says its turned off)but obviously isn,t.
the manage add on screen pops up half way thru a typed sentence,and I cannot open any links in mail box
I downloaded manual from HP was unable to read it(no java script)
and cannot download adobe flash player.click on download nothing happens.
A friend called HP and got a live tech,it seems that somehow inside the HP site I was diverted to a site called"Iyogo"
which is where I got the 169$ quote.
HP will send a recovery disc and 1yr extended warrantee for only 12$.
When I threatened to post My difficulty on TNET,it seems like I motivated someone?
Membership has it,s priviledges,I guess.
Now just have to live with it until disc arrives.

I worked for them for 13 years, and, yes, their service sucks...a bunch of decision tree reading people in asia. I called once while employed and the guy was telling me that the fastest processor my machine could take was a 1.7GHz while it came with a 1.8GHz. He would not budge on his stance. We pushed it up to the VP level because it was so weak...don't know what ended up happening...obviously nothing.

Every Hp Computer I Have Has A Built In Restore Function!!!!! Unless You Got A Virus Or A Trojan That Locks Up You computer Yes I happened to Me Because Of My Step Son and Porn Webs Sites!!! Can Be Restored With an few Key strokes Use your Other Computer To go to there Web site Look Up your Model Then Go there Tech Page to Find the Instructions !!! HH Chug

And Yes there Service Sucks!!!! They Sent Production Over seas and To Mexico THEN they Send TECH SUPPORT TO INDIA!!!! NO Wounder They just Announced they are Selling Of their small Item Divisions!!! Phone, Cameras, Computer ECT ECT ECT
