I wonder how they decided who to quote at the bottom of this article
LINDSBORG, Kan. | The next time the Bethany College men’s golfers want to post a naked team photo on Facebook, they’ll probably think again.
This time, the golfers stripped and posed with strategically placed golf items covering their private parts.
Officials from Bethany College, a Lutheran school, could have given the team a mulligan. But they didn’t.
Instead, they suspended the team from playing three tournaments and insisted the photo be removed from Facebook.
“My stomach dropped, and I thought this can’t be good," Bethany coach and athletic director Jon Daniels told KWCH in Wichita.
“We try to teach morals and values, and this is one of those lessons.”
The picture doesn’t violate any athletic regulations; the problem came when the team named Bethany College in the caption online.
The golfers said they got the idea after seeing a similar photo of the UCLA men’s golf team.
“It was only intended as a bit of fun with the lads,” said senior team member Jac, who is from England.
The golf team is appealing, and the school is scheduled to have a decision by the end of the week.
