    anyone made a tumbler composter?

with the dogs & possoms & coons around here, I can't have a regular compost, so I have decided to build one out of a plastic barrel. found a multitude of instructions on-line & think I know which one I will build, but was wondering if anyone here has built one? & what luck they have had with it.

I want to build one, but haven't yet. I always have a compost pile and a bin that I use. I use to get a lot of mail, bugging me to order the commercial tumbler, but those are way too expensive. Let us know how yours turns out.

never made one, but always wanted too, now I don't garden. The one I think I would have made was a 55 gal. plastic barrel, with the door hinged in the middle, and just leave the barrel, no stand, loose, so you can tumble it around the yard by pushing it around

You might find this article interesting mama. You could just place some chicken wire over the top to keep the varmints out.
