WOP is a insult -- because it meant you were a very poor low class italian when you came over --those with a bit of money had their papers "worked up in english in advance" of getting to ellis island or where you were entering the USA at --when they were sorting those that had everything in "order" (that could be easily and rapidly processed from those that did not have their "papers" in order)-- the ones With Out Papers (WOP) - WERE SORTED TO THE SIDE
GUINEA - many italians had guinea fowl birds which are normally rather loud and noisy --since italians tend to be talkitive and a bit loud at times --they called em -- guineas

wow ya said magic word judoka. My self im a nidan cause i found women so i stopped but by request i can post photos. The son of kano (his 1st name i cant spell) promoted me to 1st black belt at 16 years old . my buddy was promoted 2 but he wuz 14. just ask and i will show you the history in photos
