How to stop those unwanted cell calls

Greetings, When I got this email, I didn't call, but I clicked on the site below to check if our phones were registered.
It told me that the house phone is registered but our cell phones were not. I have been getting a few of those calls
lately so I registered both cells. By clicking on the site I didn't have to call, using each phone. That made it simpler.
It only takes a few seconds.... It's worth it.

    The email is as follows.......

REMEMBER: Cell Phone Numbers Go Public.
All cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.

YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CAllS!!!!

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone. 888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list.
It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your cell phone number for 5 years.

You must call from the cell phone number you want blocked. You CANNOT call from a different number.

Help others by passing this on. It only takes a few seconds.

Been on the registry since 2006, does help a little, but political beggar's and charities are exempt and it can
get frustrating at times explaining that you have no interest in helping handicapped fire ants.

I dumped the answering machine and went with the fax, it give then an earful of noise

Cell phones are distasteful to me, rarely use one, stay's turned off and in the bottom of bag or glove compartment for emergencies.......................

    Good info though

I got on that no call list and it helped a little. I don't have one of those cell phones but I got the home phone, and an answering machine. I just don't really jump and run to answer the phone on the first ring anyway and let the machine get it. I put the message on there in Spanish, which really stopped a lot of calls dead. They couldn't figure out the beep was in English.
This world is not my home.

Hello, Jeep, I don't use mine very often, but I carry it with me and occasionally it comes in handy. Thanks for your reply.

Hello, RGINN, LOL, yup, I'll bet that Spanish answer would stop a lot of the nuisance calls. Good trick
    Thanks for an interesting reply.
