    Great to be from Texas!?

Took the wife to a job interview yesterday at one of the higher end resorts in Breck. Got to visitin with their Ukrainian job recruiter to pass the time and the dude offered me a job right there in 'guest relations', which I took to be listenin to a lot of folks b*tch everyday. I asked him why ever he would want me, and he said 'the most peoples that are to be coming to our hotel are from your same country, and you would be the asset. You will dress the same as now, please.' (Boots and hat) So I pondered it a little, and asked, 'Can I wear my spurs and gun, too?' Man, he just lit up. 'You are having those?!' "Yeah buddy, but just what country you think I'm from, hoss?" 'Why, Texas, of course!' Well, I turned it down, even though it's the closest to show business I might ever get. Great to be from Texas. I'm from a little ol part of Texas north of the Red River we call Oklahoma, but if any of you real Tejanos need a job I can probably hook you up.

sheesh an Okiehoman, and one that can one finger type? When I took my USAF flight training at Sherman, Tejas, the only beer we could get was in Okiland, but unfortunately to get it, you had to sit though Roy Akuff and his 'blood on the highway'.

However, it had it's uses, when you could tolerate it, you knew it was time to pack up and return to base. Snifff

Oye, Don Jose, you were in some pretty rough country in that part of Okie World. Ever make it up to 'Doo-rant'? (Durant, but talk like a native) I all finger type and kinda liked that Roy Acuff song about the 'Wreck on the Highway' the first 3 or 4 hundred times I heard it.
