On the 'good' side, you're never alone.
On the 'bad' side, you're never alone.

Jeez AA, like you said, "I now am a nice sort of guy but after 36 years the group surprised me with your still 1 of us."
You can take that as an embarassment, or as an endorsement.
I.E.: "I wish that I never knew them." OR "They're glad that they knew you."
post scriptum:
You also said, "the Warden knows my past but met some bike group last nite that confirms my past"
To me that proves you don't BS.

Okay. I see your point. How do you drive a stake through the heart of your younger self? Answer - I guess you can't.
That also keeps many well intentioned people from running for local office.

Re: ever had your past haunt you?
Nope my past does not haunt me.
Parents always said live your life everyday with knowing you will have to live with your past.
I did a few things over the top for sure, but nothing haunts me at all. a few regrets and embarassment on how I acted in a situation, sure, as with most...but no haunting.
I good

Re: ever had your past haunt you?
I never knew those (1 % er type) guys were still alive .... don't you know only the good die young ?............. the past is THE PAST , do not beat yer self up over it , be a good man and let the past die ----- my wife knows my past and she says thats all BMA (before mary ann --basically what you did before you met me doesn't matter , however what you do since you met me matters very much)

Re: ever had your past haunt you?
BMA
that is so true tho, how you move forward should ease the past. if it does not, you are not doing what you need to be doing to let the past rest.

Re: ever had your past haunt you?
the wife does say that whenever shes with me shes not afraid of anything - because she knows if anything or person was to try hurt her , may god have pity on them, because I most surely will not.( while I can not brawl like in my youth (due to ill health) my trigger finger is a strong as ever and my eyes are still sharp.) fist fights are for young folks -- since I'm over 50 now -- I say what the heck , just shoot em
