Theres problems other than notification. I think the maintenance needs some serious maintanence.

Thanks for letting me know - I haven't heard anything from anyone else on this issue - have you checked your spam folder? Are you getting notifications of new pm's? (I'm sending you a test pm now)
I'd like to hear from others before digging deeper.
Thanks.

The website has quite the lag to it. This is the only website it happens to on my comp. Almost like its 5 to 15 seconds behind my browser.

What browser are you using? Have you tried Firefox? It's fast on my browser.
There is no doubt the forum homepage can take awhile to load. Have you tried disabling the sidebar? (go into your profile and look for Look and Layout Preferences.... there you can disable the sidebar - that should help a lot)
When checking a smaller page , like our metals prices page...
http://forum.treasurenet.com/metals
....it scores 77 out of 100 here...
https://developers.google.com/pagespeed/
Not bad considering how many people are online at one time on one server....
It's not likely without some angel investor - that we are going to glean more speed out of TNet any time soon. We have a ton of content, a ton of things going on, and a ton of people accessing it. It's a balancing act.
I personally don't see a lag, and I am currently on the other side of the planet from the server.... but I know that ONE of our moderators is reporting the same thing - not the others - so it tells me this is a network (or browser) issue and not a web server issue.
Thanks for the feedback,
Marc

Thanks for the report back that you received no emails from the test pm.
I see there might be a problem with the notifications and am going to spend some time on it tomorrow. Thanks a bunch.

Actually marc i do use firefox, on top of that i just did a fresh OS reinstall 2 weeks ago. I dont think its firefox because as i said it only happens when im in Tnet. Maybe one of those strange things.
