The big question is are the environmentalist killing the country. Oh, it all started out with good intensions, but then the overkill started.
We are tearing down hydroelectric dams to let fish swim freely while loosing electric producing capacity.
We are pushing electric cars while suffering rolling electric blackouts.
While batteries have been improved solar technology still lack an affordable manufacturing process.
The greens are tearing down our electrical interstrcture before the new technology is ready.
The EPA is planning on putting new sulfur restrictions on gas that will add .25 to the gallon in retail cost.

The national debt is $50,000 per EVERY man woman and child....can you feel that pain? Did the tree huggers
cause this? Or was it the war mongers?

And BTW, the fracking for natural gas in West Virginia, Ohio and Oklahoma is not only polluting the water supply...but believe it or not...it is causing Earthquakes.

"They" Say are Cancer Agents, & They say cause
Disease. well Guess what, They also Keep us alive.

How many things are you Born Protected against ?
just from enviroment over the last hundred years ?

Our appendix used to Protect us.
Now we don't need it.
or do we ?

What if things avert back to the Point
we need to eat raw animals
Or meat dropped on the Ground,
& the water is Polluted ?

We'll probably all die long before
anyone is Born with an appendix that can handle it.

Sooner or later there will be no Smoke
of any kind allowed. Peoples Lungs
will not need half the Things they do.
then something will Break,
smoke will Happen & People will choke
on the tiniest amount.

I say don't mess with it at all

Children who are not Rushed to doctors when they Sneeze & Don't wear
shoes outside are less Likley to catch Colds
or Need doctors. Children who are Not Protected from a Natural Enviroment
Probably Live healthier Lives & Live longer.

Some self-proclaimed 'environmentalists' I know are pretty cool. They should issue a license for environmentalists, but one of the requirements would be you have to live outdoors off the land for, I don't know, maybe 5 years. Just to get your priorites straight. I wondered about that fracking causin earthquakes in Oklahoma, Cappy, but Oklahoma has had them before and has fault lines, so it might be akin to thinkin crop dustin causes tornadoes. Jeff, I won't have to eat raw animals cause I got the gift of fire. Potable water will be a big issue, and might still be even if you know all the tricks. You forgot to mention tonsils. And yes children who aren't rushed to doctors are less likely to catch colds because they aren't exposed to sick people in the waiting room, who carry the cold virus. If I came to that zombie apocalypse thing, I could hear me sayin 'Well, I'll trade you this one penicillin tablet for, say, all your gold coins. The metal is no good for anything, but they're pretty to look at.'

Cappy Z, I did all that. Moved out to an old granary on 53 ac. with spring water from an artisian fault, heated with wood and raised my five kids after my wife died. Solar wasn't out there but I cooked on an old Colombian wood stove. Raised our own food in about a 1 ac. garden. raised our own beef. it was a great life , but not practical today. Still on the same farm in a new home I built drinking the same spring water.

Rginn, since you got fire water is no problem, just distill it and grapes are good for you so just add some of them.

I feel the environment can handle its own against most of what we put against it. There are some extremes that need to be controlled, or complete removed.

In the hunt for a better future some companies have put bigger threats out there. Wasn't it the batteries in the Prius considered toxic waste, and had to be replaced so often, with no true form of disposal?

I would love to be energy dependent, but I think in my neighborhood ypu would have to eliminate every other house to have enough room for the solar panels I would need. And while I am only about a half mile from a major river, I don't think I could provide my own water without a huge amount of work.....

Of course the damn here is one of the larger ones, and if it was removed, the river might come to me

Change in weather Patterns are simply the Earths way
Of Killing what it Needs to & Replacing what it Needs to.

& At the same time Preserving Life as we know it.

even in difficult Times everything works out.

As a guy I was out detecting with last weekend pointed out, in the gold rush days we were also here for lumber and deforested large areas, yet it all pretty much grew back, and they did not replant as far as I know.
I know these days we can clear an acre in the time that it would have taken the 1890's crew to make a pot of coffee, but still.

He also mentioned that in the historical pictures of the mining area we were hunting in, it was all rolling plains, could see for a long way. Now it's all pines, and manzanita bushes. Sometimes I think maybe a forest fire is just a cleansing, other times it a moron that flicked a cigarette out the window...

harder on us for no real reason.

What happend to the earth During The dinosaurs ?
was it because of Fracking ? Or off shore Drilling ?

"pushing electric cars while suffering rolling electric blackouts" Is that in CA? Anywhere else? Certainly not in MN, but we can mostly delay the air conditioning to off peak hours to get a reduced rate.

"solar technology lacks affordable mfg process". You can buy a radio that can receive longwave, AM/FM, shortwave & weather for under $100. It runs on regular or rechargeable batteries, hand crank, AC, or from included solar panel. Also, I know a guy who about 25 years ago was living off $3,000 a year, replacing most AC with batteries & solar panels, for his mobile home.

Prices of oil/gas fuel goes up because other fuels mostly not allowed IMO. Hemp oil can power a car, a man in Japan has permission. Grow your own within 6 months, if oil companies would allow it. Praise them?

It is not just the environmentalists, it is the utopians who believe there is an alternative energy source that they cannot show!, Somehow it has been hidden because the one that has it has not found a way to make gazillions of dollars off of it ! That is one of the craziest arguments I have ever heard!

But I would dearly love to see a solar or some other source that worked. The people that defend it so hard have either not looked into it, or are trying to control something or someone.

Yep. Ol Roy, the fact that some people believe this drivel is SCARY. Wonder what pollution is like in India or any country on the road to civilization? I would say that anyone that believes the U.S. is the second most polluted has been seriously programmed.

sure I can see those as some of the top polluting countries

USA has alot of people and industry and emissions


depends on what types of pollution we are talking about. if they go off 'just' carbon dioxide emissions sure the USA would be right up there. we chug tons into the atomosphere for our size and population. smaller undeveloped countries would come in way less.

so what type of pollution is being judged I would think would make a big influence in the listing.
