AND THE NEW UPDATE IS
got it in the mail this morning
and it is being returned immediately.
sensitivity in comparison to my Garret Propointer is a joke. I thought at least the cheappy would work a little bit ok. NOT geez what a waste of crap to be making...lol. no more cheappo things for me.

As I see it, you could have asked me for advice.. I'd be more than happy to send you off in what I believe to be the right direction. Yea, it may have cost you a bit more, but at least you'd be twice as unhappy

yes Okie, the cheap part of this was the whole point was not active. just the tip. that is how they saved money on this thing. the ProPointer is just so much more sensitive along the whole pointer that I have to say it is well worth the bucks. using the cheapo showed me that 
somethings you just gotta see it to know.
